Any kind of paper is good. Originally newspapers and magazine pages were used. Anything that can fold into the shape can be used.

I’ve seen some cool 3d origami like this… to me this reminds of 8-bit video… I bet this type of 3d origami will gain popularity in the future. I think if you put your mind to it you can create some pretty awesome artworks… just looking for that right artist to totally master this type of 3d origami.

I was in Korea on Sept 5th and stopped by Mr. Park’s house and got some pics and video of a beautiful 3D Origami boat that took him months to make. This is one of the most intricate and gorgeous 3D Origami Boats I’ve ever seen. Please enjoy the short video and pics.
