Japanese 3D Origami

June 10, 2010 in Community

I found this image on a Japanese website plaza.rakuten.co.jp/key333/diary/200508210000/

Lately I’ve been searching websites from different countries to see the styles they have for 3d origami.  I notice most of the books on the market on 3d origami seem to come from Japan.  So I figured that they should have really good art.  My only problem is I don’t read Japanese and I’m not sure what Japanese people call 3D Origami.  So far my search lead me to this photo:

To me this is a great work of a goose… probably one of the best I’ve seen of a goose… so I KNOW there’s more out there.  My search continues… Hope to find more.  If anyone knows the Japanese term for 3D Origami please let me know.  Thanks!
