I saw some really cool 3D Origami Piglets online and thought to myself that I really want to make one. I looked and studied Piglet pics online to see what type I wanted to make and I saw one really cute baby Piglet. So I model my design after that picture. I wanted my Piglet […]

How big is this fish? Looks small (and cuter) compared to the one on the Russian website. I love the addition of the fronds; definitely makes it look more natural.
-
it’s about 7cm. but my works are all small, cause I use small triangles ^-^ thank you!!
-
-
I love this small fish, you gave me the idea to make an aquarium whit some of them inside 😉
-
Thanks! oh I can’t wait to see your aquarium!!

Amazing as usual Danielle 🙂 How’s your book coming along?

I was in Korea on Sept 5th and stopped by Mr. Park’s house and got some pics and video of a beautiful 3D Origami boat that took him months to make. This is one of the most intricate and gorgeous 3D Origami Boats I’ve ever seen. Please enjoy the short video and pics.

Hi first saw Josephs work while browsing Deviant Art. I saw this 3D Origami piece made of all white and looked like manga. I thought… wow this is really creative. You can tell he has a pure passion for manga and he expresses it with 3d origami. Here’s what Josephs interests are: Interests: Anime, Manga, Drawing, […]

jaxster wrote a new post, Japanese 3D Origami June 17, 2017 2:40 pm
I found this image on a Japanese website plaza.rakuten.co.jp/key333/diary/200508210000/ Lately I’ve been searching websites from different countries to see the styles they have for 3d origami. I notice most of the books on the market on 3d origami seem to come from Japan. So I figured that they should have really good art. My only problem is […]

I hope you can help me.. thanks in advance ^_^

Is this the standard unit you use?
-
This is the standard unit I use for my bases. and transitions. In the first piece I ever did it was all made of these units. But I usually use a Puff Fold for the rest. My size is 4.5cm x 3 cm
-
I’m going to add this to my list of techniques.
-
I wonder what your technique is? I know you sometimes use Danielles half paper technique but do you have a different folding style?
-
I normally use the half square type. mostly because i reverse the unite inward to create a smooth surface. I turn them around forward for texture or to accent particular areas. I’ve been trying to keep track of all the different ways to fold. some work for me some don’t. I do use a half square link unit when changing the direction. i.e. the…[Read more]

Thanks Nga, It takes a lot time indeed to make this! So I am really glad I finished it!
About the wings, quilling is not really my thing, but if I made the wings of 3do they looked a bit to heafy..
yes, it’s better with quilling wing 🙂 sometime it’s be hard when we try to make all by 3do 🙂
I agree, it’s sometimes just too much to make it all in 3do
