Finished a quilling project (can be seen here http://o0dreammyst0o.deviantart.com/#/d3cu3i6) and restarted my 1000 cranes project which I began over 9 months ago haha. I’m up to 250+. =]

That dragon was designed by this french guy: http://www.destiny-creation.fr/page/realisations.html I don’t think they mention that.

dreammyst uploaded a new picture: Megaman and Mettaur March 30, 2011 12:02 pm
My very own creations. The blue paper I was using at the moment reminded me of him so I decided to make it instead of the other model I was working on.
Copied from my deviantart account: “Megaman is made up of about 1250 pieces. It prolly doesn’t look like it, but it’s because the helmet is separate from the rest of the body. It can be…[Read more]

My brother likes Megaman (the game) and since it’s his birthday in 8 days I showed him pictures of 3d origami that I could make him, and he said that he would like the Mettaur in this picture the most. I would like to make it, but it’s difficult because I don’t know how many pieces you used to make the base of it’s black head-body thing and how…[Read more]

Oooh, sounds likes he has good taste in videogames. =P Here are some rough instructions for now.

Wow! I like this! They look great! Nice job!

I also like how you glued on the arms and legs so neatly without them expanding at the top. Did you use a glue gun? I can only glue 3D arms and legs if I use a glue gun, if I use Elmer’s washable glue they’ll just expand or drop.
-
I used plain Elmer’s multipurpose glue to attach the arms for this model. It hasn’t fallen apart yet. =] I used a glue gun for the bear I made for mother’s day.

I made some instructions for it in a response above. =]

What irks me about papercraftcentral is that they do not link back to the original source as far as I can tell. I wanted a closer look at that awesome 3d origami red dragon but can’t seem to find it elsewhere. =/

I think having groups is kinda pointless for the most part. Why not just let people specify their interests in new threads under the main group rather than segmenting everyone into little factions? I’m not sure if it is necessary to join the groups in order to reply to posts, but if it is, it’s […]

It might be pointless… but if a group of 5 people wanted to discuss things that were specific to one group.. let’s say if it were “3d origami sharks” then they would be able to converse specifically under that group. I think the group thing hasn’t really caught on yet but if there was a small group of you that wanted to do something specific…[Read more]

If you go under the specified Group there will be a link called Documents… under that link you can upload pics and videos specific to that group. I guess I should have some instructions somewhere on how to best utilize a group.

I agree with you Jaxster, not cause i have a group here lol hehehehehe but cause i like your cogency.

That’s a great idea. I keep seeing a head with a top hat though. It would probably be cool as a groom.

This will prolly get people motivated to get started on 3DO again. Honestly, I thought Jaxster would have done something like this by now.

Thanks! =D I’m curious as what you do to make your piece shiny. It’s prolly varnish. I should start doing that to mine as well as evident by the explosion of modules on my desk, heheh.

I really like that. You’ve done a masterful job.
