Very very nice. I can tell you spend a lot of time making sure all your pieces look the same. Good job!

yeah, I struggled with this one for a few weeks. Thanks for the tip about the head. I was able to move forward with the project after that. The crown thing on his head is another mistake that turned into a positive. When the head is shaped there is the opening. I accidentally dropped one of the feet into the hole and it ended up looking like…[Read more]

where’s everyone getting these patterned papers from… i want some :'(
and yes it looks very nice 🙂-
just try too get some wrapping paper 😉
-
I’m thinking of using wrapping paper, but most i can find are either birthday wrappers or christmas wrappers lol. But thanks for the advice 🙂

I get my paper from Joanne’s fabrics, Michael’s, pretty much any store that carries scrapbooking supplies, but Joanne’s usually has some great deals. I buy the 12 X 12 size and cut down to what I need.

In the US i pressume? Yeah, UK isn’t that enthusiastic when it comes to paper 🙠Its hard enough to find black or brown paper.
-
it’s not easy finding black or brown paper here in the US either. you have to search forever to find enough to be useful,

Oops, sorry for the typo. It is Isabelle, not Isabella. Her’s is much smaller and can fit in the palm of her hand. I don’t know how she can fold the pieces so tiny and get the rounded Jaxster fold for them. Hats off to all those that can fold tiny!
-
So cute!!. For tiny triangles I use a mechanical pencil to get the rounded Jaxster fold. ^^

A friend wanted me to make their bird. I had to improvise a lot and learned so much about this craft. Overall it's okay, but I'm not 100% satisfied with it. If I remake this I would make the beak different, head separate and more rounded, and use smaller triangles for the feet. To those who work with small pieces, I salute you! The effects…[Read more]

Thanks, I’m always very critical of my pieces. Always striving to do better. It takes me awhile to fully appreciate how far I’ve come and then I like the piece so much, I don’t want to give it away. LOL

Thank you. I’m hoping to be able to do do a bird head like David Foos’ macaw (and Danielle’s, Mohammadnofal’s, etc). Just got to get the hang of the curve with adding the extra row from Danielle’s tutorial.

Such a lovely collection!
The boxes look great too. Love all the different kinds of paper you used for them.-

I’m nervously excited. The public library in my area has asked me to display my items. I will have two display cases to fill. I’ve been asked to write a brief document describing what 3D origami is and it’s history. I will also be including websites where people can find more information on the subject (guess which website will be at the…[Read more]

Thank you. Although I like my pieces very much, I wish I could showcase some of the more amazing pieces on this site to really show off 3DO. But by adding the website, people will get to see the fun and variety this offers.
-
YOu are welcome! Your pieces are awesome, And lot’s of people won’t understand how to make it:P because it looks complicated 😛 I think they will really like it 🙂
