Wow this is so nice… All your 3d origami artworks look great… I can tell you pay close attention to detail. So glad you are part of the 3d origami artist network. Keep up the great work.
in the near future I’m planning on making a Scarlet Macaw based on this model. When I do I’ll try to diagram it. I do know for sure that it has over 800 pieces in it.

hi
i did try the 3d origami swan also and now i’m doing nothing else anymore. I’m even teaching it to children;
I have some books with models but they are too easy. Now i’m trying to make the plane on this webiste. It’s a challenge.
Enjoy it!!!!!!
thanks and may i ask where should i start the neck of the parrot going to the beak,,,how many columns and rows,,wish im more talented like you,,do u have a diagram? really want to make this badly
The parrot starts where the head and the beak meet. I use insert pieces to help change direction. I don’t have a diagram, as it would be too difficult to do, I started one and plan to add more detail. So far it’s only the head and need more rows added to it. In less than a week I will have finished another parrot, then I will go back and try to add some more detail to it.

Thanks!!! I used colored printer paper that you can find just about anywhere.
really beatiful!!! 🙂
You truly are a great 3do artist! I was wondering if I could have your permission to make this?
You don’t need my permission. In fact I encourage you to try. 🙂
Okay, thanks 🙂 do you know how many peices each color is?
off the top of my head, no. I know I used probably around 800 light green, around 600 blue, may 100 yellow, and probably about 100 gold.(the beak).
This is so amazing. Thanks for letting me know the piece count i really appreciate it 🙂
Ridiculously amazing as usual!
what is the size of the paper you used for the blue feather and the green? and what part do you start? thanks david
except for the beak, everything is 2.5cm x 5cm. the beak is made up of 1.5cm x 3cm pieces.
