It seems like I can not seem to pick one project and stick with it. I have now started, with Mr. Foos’ help, a Macaw parrot. Just in the beginning stages. View

I am looking to add some initials to the chest of the owl that David Foos has provided a diagram for. I am using pieces that are half the size of the pieces that I am using on the owl. The large pieces are 4×8 cm and the smaller pieces are 2×4 cm. I am having trouble getting the pieces to stay together. I was thinking about taking and making…[Read more]

All I do when I get these kind of messages, is I report the person. Click on the button that says “report user”. It is right next to the “Like” button.

Yeah that’s the best thing to do. I usually get the message and get to these spammers as fast as I can. But if I’m out of town one weekend and away from my computer it’s hard for me to get to it. But an additional way to get rid of these guys is if you send me a message I can go directly to the user and wipe them out. Thanks. I try to keep up…[Read more]

I am looking to make a 3D origami bowl and I am unsure of how to start it. If anyone knows of how to start a 3D origami bowl with a completely closed bottom, could you give me a message. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is some pictures of what I am wanting to make.…[Read more]

As far as I know, you start with a 4 piece base (like a square), then every second row you add pieces to double it, so 44 88 1616 3232 ect. After you do that to the desired base sizes, you flip it over so the inverted pieces are at the bottom with the normal pieces being on the inside of your bowl, then the sides of the bowl are normal pieces on…[Read more]

All of the kids loved the peacocks. I now know why people do this kind of art. It felt so good to see them excited about getting something they have never seen before. I am thinking about doing this for next years students.

I have started the mini peacocks for the students and I have run into a problem. Since the model is so small the pieces are not wanting to stay put. Especially the top pieces of the tail, they want to come off at the slightest touch. I have seen where people glue individual pieces on, but I am looking for a quick way to glue the whole model. I…[Read more]

I should it varnish (water your glue down) indeed, it’s the quickest way, if you have them put together already! for me it works always to keep them stay together

What kind of glue do you use. Do you brush the glue on the model, or do you submerge the model in the glue?
