I just don’t know why people are stealing art… found my tigger on several sites, And I don’t know if there are more of my works out there.. ðŸ™
Found my tigger even on a shop! How can you sell something that isn’t yours!

    • OMG! even on a shop!!! that is really bad!!
All we ask them to do, just mention to our name and say “Designed by ……” and if this person can re-make it as good as the way you do so put his one!! not to stealing your’s!!
      this is really sad ðŸ™

      • yes indeed!! I just don’t even understand why somebody will do that, they can never deliver when someone buys it… just too weird!!

      • Holy Bible says “who is without sin, cast the first stone”! 🙂
When you remake the deer and pegasus you didn’t mention the name of the creator and so did I when I remake the caterpillar, we only said that was from the russian website! 🙂
So I think that before blame someone we have to look on ourselves!
        ….it’s only my thought! 😉

        • I didn’t mention the name cuz i don’t speak Russian and don’t understand it at all!!! So! how can i read 😀 lol
but i mention to the site instead, and everyone know that!, and i blame others cuz they don’t even mention to name or site! i hope you read well next time before you think like angels 😀 lol

    • I understand you’re upset for that Danielle, but when we put something on the web we know it’s public and unless we have a copyright everybody can copy it! 🙂 (and even with a copyright we do!)
So try to see it under another point of view: Your tigger was so cute that someone copied it! And try to be proud of that even if he didn’t mention your name! 🙂 We are all one Danielle!

      • I agree with Yellow Frog, I’m not saying its wrong to deem that design as yours but if everyone takes ownership of their designs and prevents others from using it then there won’t be so many of us 3D Origami Artists around with so many models. And as Yellow Frog said, we put our designs up on the internet so that the public can see it and by doing so we accept the consequence of it being “copied”. I joined this website so that I can share, learn and be inspired by other designs, and those designs include some of yours.
I started off 3D Origami by “copying” some designs because I didn’t have what it took to make my own. I’m sure many of us here have had our designs used or “copied” by others and I bet this applies to Jaxster the most out of us all. What I’m saying is that we should appreciate that people have taken their time to look at our creations and even spend time trying to make their own ones.

        • That is GOOD Skong 🙂 but i think you talking about “copying” here, and i think no one have objection about that!! but what about “stealing” !! to steal the same pic and say about “its mine” !! i think you forgot to talk about this point 😉

          • This guy probably just googled 3D Origami Tigger and got your image since it is one of the first things to come up, it could have been someone else he took, I’d say pay no heed to it and continue on doing what you like doing and not let something like that bother you.
When people do shop from him and realise he actually has nothing, he’ll have it coming… if people can shop from him that is, I tried clicking on some of the links, they don’t appear to work 😛

            • lol 😀 Good answer Skong 😀

            • I understand what you mean skong…But like I said to Fausta…I just don’t want people to be scammed, that they give money for something they will never get. It’s not about “copying” everybody starts with that. and I wasn’t talking about that like Mohammad said. I’m okay with people who wanna copy my stuff as long as they mention my name. I am also akay with people who are using my pictures on theire sites as long as my copyright are stil in it..But as people gonna remove that willful then it’s an other story. that’s stealing

But It’s good that everybody reacts, so people can think about this problem..it’s all over the internet..Just be honest to each other. That’s the only thing I want.

        • ThanQ Skong! you perfectly understand what I meant! 🙂

      • I think you didn’t understand me totally, I am just worried about the one that is in that shop…I don’t want that people will be scammed if they buy it.
It’s okay for people to remake my stuff as long as they metion my name. and I also don’t worry about people who are using my pictures and clame “it’s mine” because my copyright is still in the pictures…But the point is, I also found some days ago, my pictures without my copyright, people did remove it willful. than it is stealing. I always report that.. (so I check that every once in a while..)

but it is good that everybody will think about this..it is not normal.

        • I totally understood what you are talking about from first moment, cuz i faced the same problem also, but i just report it as u mention to! and so that i start lately to make a watermark on my designs as you see, not only in a corner as you do Danielle!
I think that people who have their own designs are the ones who can understand that!

          • I know Mohammad! I think that everybody with their own designs will understand it indeed.
I did different things with my watermark, but I found out that it doesn’t matter how or where you place it. people can and will remove it as they want. they are smart enough to do that. When I did draw a lot, I saw some “artist” who did steal awesome works from the original artist, with watermarks, they removed it so good, that he was able to do art shows with it!
So I do put my name, logo and website on my pictures, so when somebody sees it on for example google, they know it’s my work.
(ow crap my finger won’t wanna type anymore:P)
anyway, I hope that people get a live and won’t steal anymore, they can easely make their own.

        • Sorry Danielle, I misunderstand what you said, I thought the one of the shop has copied your work to sell it, but copy the pic doesnt make sense to me cause I can’t see the purpouse on doing that! Will he/she sell the pic or the…nothing? 🙂
Bah! world is beautiful cause it’s various! 😉

    • I agree with you Danielle, it’s pathetic to steal one’s work. I think that it’s ok when we want to remake something just to learn 3dorigami or just for pleasure. We can’t avoid it, but I know that feeling of powerless anger, when someone’s living off you.

      • Yes indeed margaret! everybody remakes things, and that’s totally okay. but to just copy a picture, put it on a webshop, and try to sell it…I can’t believe it.
sometimes I get so angry on people, who aren’t honest..
