Does anybody know where to purchase black paper in Europe? All I can find is either too thick or for shipment in U.S. only =(
-
Wish i could help…..having a difficult time finding any in Canada too….:(
-
Yes =(. Painting is no solution on the long term. I killed a new edding when making a tiny batman … That will become a wee bit expensive over time ^^
-
hmm, try the brand Fastprint, I can get it here in holland, maybe you can get it to 🙂
-
thanks for that hint =) I just looked it up and found an office-supply shop. But as far as I can understand they only sell larger amounts (around 1000 sheets). And all the others sell Fastprint in all colours but not in black =(. But it was close already =D Do you buy it in a store or do you order it online? Thanks very much again!
-
I buy it in a store, but I think that what Su Fang said, will help you! good luck
I use different grammage of paper…from 80g/m2 untill 200g/m2. I can use thicker paper because I cut them once more, so I can fold them one time less…so you are saving paper, and you can use thicker paper! 😀
-
oh Danielle, I’ve just had an epiphany of what you meant. Somehow I first thought you meant making a smaller rectangle, not cutting the first fold ^^. But this is such a good advice! Thank you very much!
-
you are so welcome! it’s a useful trick for thicker paper ^^

on second thought: What grammage of paper do you find okay for folding 3d origami? How thick can it be based on your experience?…. finding paper starting at 120g/m2 is not so very difficult around here… but I consider it a bit too thick. Do you have any experience with that?

In Spain, I buy “papel kraft negro” (I do not know how they say in English) because I didn’t find black A4. The kraft paper is as follows: http://www.artemiranda.es/secciones.asp?depto=107&seccion=212&t=departamento%20de%20PAPELES%207:%20Blocs,%20Rollos/Papel%20KRAFT%20%3Cbr%3EColores
Maybe you can find in your city. Good luck!!! -
Thanks so much for all your help Danielle, Su and Vanessa!!! Yes, the online shop Su posted may help me ^^ I hope I can understand enough of the Dutch to order it. I’ve also found a swiss online shop by now (www.freecall24.ch) but prices are unspeakable. But I found some thin cardstock today in a store and will try with this for the moment. I…[Read more]
