Hi all I am still a newb to 3d origami and I am looking for any tips. I have been reading about using glue to coat the peices. I was wondering if i coat each peice seperately and then put it together or do i coat the whole project once it is done. Can someone make a tutorial? Also any tips on how to make the head a bit rounder?? I increase the head approx. 6 peices and it still seems a bit parallel. there seems to be no shape. Do I put the head to gether seperately and then glue it to the body?? So far I have used no glue except for the accent peices. and anyone help? Please 😉

    • Here are some tips:
Coating your piece with glue… You should coat your whole piece with a watered down glue. Not too much water but the consistency should be like the consistency of syrup. You should use a paint brush to apply and make sure there aren’t a lot of bubbles after coating.

Making the head rounder: To make the head rounder is all about where you position your transition pieces. The transition pieces are the pieces that are put in backwards before starting on the head. Make sure there is a sharp angle when you put them in. I usually glue mine in place to get the angel I want. If you just fit the pieces in without glue you won’t get the desired angle. The sharper the angle the rounder the head.

Gluing Pieces: I glue EVERY piece into place. Just makes your artwork more stable. A lot of people don’t like to use glue but it’s a practice I recommend.
